Is Tancredo a Racist?

It is not enough to say that he is a racist but it is more than just that. Tancredo does not have that authority to determine who is U.S. citizenship material based on their educational background. Who is he to say if someone doesn't know how to spell a word such as "vote" than they should be denied citizenship. Education is NOT given but ACQUIRED. Many people who come into the US looking for acceptance and citizenship without the acquired educational element, like many Americans do.

It is not fair to judge someone based on their educational background, this is why many people come to America, to find good schools that can assist them in expanding their minds. Many countries and nations do not offer the educational tools in order to prosper. So if Tancredo suggestively denies people of their rights to become citizens by requiring them to take a literacy test this will minimize the number of people that could become citizens, is this fair?

I do believe that Tancredo intentionally requested a literacy test to limit non-educated persons to join unity with the US, which is what the government did to discriminate against blacks.

Three Important Tips on Extra Curricular Activities

Have you received a C average on your last report card lately due to extra curricular activities? Don’t worry, your not alone. _ _ percent out of _ _ students attending the School of the Arts are involved with extra curricular activities. This includes sports, volunteering programs and clubs. A majority of these students maintain a B or B+ grade point average yearly.
According to Rombokas studies, most students that are involved in activities outside of school are less likely to participate in “drugs alcohol, and tobacco abuse, and serious offenses with the law”. However, these moderately exceeding students did this by taking account of the three general tips.
Tip Number One: Time Management
“Time is really the only capital that any human being has, and the only thing he can't afford to lose. “ -Thomas Edison
This is a major aspect you must commit to. Coming from school, then going to your extra curricular activity for on average two to four hours, then home where you will have to finish all your homework, eat and get prepared for the next day. This list might seem very extensive and hard to complete in it’s entirely but it’s simpler than it seems.
When you get home, grab a snack; this will give your body a little boost until you can fully eat dinner. Then afterwards, go straight to your homework, this is essential that you get your work done. After you have completed this you are able to relax and get yourself prepared for school the next day.
Tip Number Two: Willpower
“Lack of will power has caused more failure than lack of intelligence or ability.” -Flower A. Newhouse
Sometimes having a lot on your plate can be VERY exhausting. But if started with the willpower or motivation to participate in extra curricular activities you must maintain this throughout your journey. Your lack of willpower can cause you to fail in not only school but also other daily routines. You must stay true to yourself.
Tip Number Three: Know Your Limits
“Don't believe what your eyes are telling you. All they show is limitation. Look with your understanding, find out what you already know, and you'll see the way to fly.” – Richard Bach
You can only do so much. Put only what you can handle in your agenda. If you know that you have a major test to study for make sure that is your first priority not hanging out with your friends after practice.
If you overload your plate with activities you won’t only be able to succeed in all of the activities you put yourself in; know what you can do and not want to do.

Sarah Palin's Response to Rahm Emanuel

According The Atlantic, Rahm Emanuel, White House Chief of Staff, referred to his fellow Democrats as "F***ing Retarded". So now Sarah Palin wants him fired because she thinks it's offensive to refer to people that as such. That is agreeable and one can say that it is also some what offensive to people that are diagnosed with many mental disablilites.

But to some extent I would have to say that she is blowing the situation out of proportion. I mean COME ON....by saying he needs to be fired because he was excersing his ability to speak his mind about a certain group of people is what America was based on. The colonialists in the 18th century didn't like the Britsh and spoke about them in a negative way, calling them "red coats" and other names. They weren't fired.... Why should Emanuel be fired for speaking his mind? It just doesn't make much sense...

Palin uses her mentally disabled grandson as for her campaign to recieve more attention....

Conform or Not to Conform That Is the Question

"Our desire to conform is greater than our respect for objective facts" as stated by Margaret Drabble. This could be interpreted as one's will to comply with other people and/ or their ideals is much greater than someone wanting to side with facts that aren't influenced by personal opinion (objective). But why is this so? Does someone's opinion affect our judgment to what's logically correct or is it the fact that we are persuaded by the norm of the group?

One can say that it is human nature to conform with others to agree or comply with their ideas. But for those that are opposing of the idea of conformity, in technicality they are still conformists. So many people rebel against the norm of conformity that they don't realize that they are still going along with the flow of others to agree that being followers or subjects to society's mainstream culture is still conforming.

As society's people we shouldn't necessarily be concerned with people's subjective opinions but the fact of the matter. Maybe if we stopped focusing on the differences of the Democrat and Republican parties and how they react to stupid statements such as "fucking retarded" maybe this nation could accomplish something for a change. We worry about thoughts and ideas more than proven facts. It's human nature too i guess so who am i to judge the normal behavior of human beings... Conform or not to conform? Which one is the answer?
